Music Department Visit Event

Access DaysThe Music Department Visit Event is a great opportunity for students and parents to visit the campus and get an inside look at what life is like at Asbury for a music student. You'll attend classes, eat in the dining hall, worship in chapel and stay overnight in one of our residence halls, as well as, having the chance to interact with Asbury music faculty and students through classes, rehearsals, and performances. Seniors can also schedule music auditions.

Milk and Cookies Orchestra Concert featuring Symphony 555 with movements from Mozart, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky’s 5th symphonies. Students are welcome to wear pajamas to this concert.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Much Does It Cost?

The Music Department Visit Event is free to attend. In addition, we will cover the cost of breakfast and lunch on Friday for visiting students and their family.

Who can attend?

Any current high school juniors or seniors. College students interested in transferring to Asbury are also invited.

What Are My Housing Options?

Students are invited to stay on campus and get the real college experience in one of Asbury's residence halls. Parents and other visitors are encouraged to stay at a local hotel or bed & breakfast, some of which offer a special rate for Asbury visitors.

What Should I Bring?

If you are staying overnight in a residence hall, bring a sleeping bag, pillow, towel and any necessary toiletries.

What If I Want a Music, Theatre or Worship Arts Audition or Athletics Tryout?

To schedule a music audition, please contact the appropriate music faculty listed below. Audition guidelines can be found on the Music Department's webpage.

If you are interested in intercollegiate athletics, please visit our Asbury Athletics webpage and complete the recruiting form for your sport.

To request a Worship Arts Audition, please complete the audition registration form.

To request a Theatre and Cinema Performance Audition, please complete the audition registration form.

What Events Are There for Parents?

  • Parents are invited to attend all parts of the event including the Campus Tour, Classes, Chapel and Meals, but are not required to attend.
