'Christmas Angel' Screening at Asbury

WILMORE, Ky. — A new feature film titled “Christmas Angel” — which was recently released and written by Asbury alum Andrea Gyertson ‘95 Nasfell — will be shown at Asbury University on Dec. 1 at 3 p.m. The viewing will held at the state-of-the-art Miller Center Screening Room, and the event is free and open to the public.

“Christmas Angel” tells the story of a young girl, Olivia, with a specific Christmas wish for her single mother. When it appears that the run-down old house next door — and the older woman who lives there — have a role to play in making wishes come true, Olivia and her friends must learn to recognize real faith in God. Starring in the film are Della Reese, Kevin Sorbo, Teri Polo and Tamera Mowry-Housley.

Nasfell has several other film credits to her name, including “Escape,” which released earlier this fall, and two films nominated for Epiphany Prizes in TV and film (“Christmas with a Capital C” and “What If…”). “Christmas Angel” was rated by the Dove Foundation as Family-Approved for all ages.
