Rocky Wallace is a former administrator in Kentucky's P-12 system, and has served at the Kentucky Department of Education as a leadership consultant to school principals. While principal at Catlettsburg Elementary, the school was named a Kentucky and U.S. Blue Ribbon School (1996-97). Wallace has also served as the Director of Instructional Support at the Kentucky Educational Development Corporation (KEDC), and received his doctorate in strategic leadership from Regent University in 2007. Rocky comes to Asbury from Morehead State University, where he has taught graduate educational leadership courses, developed leadership curriculum, and helped develop the school's new principal redesign program and new doctorate program in educational leadership. Rocky has written a series of three books on school improvement and the effectiveness of the servant leadership model, and has also co-authored two other books on school culture. His wife, Denise, is a student at Asbury Theological Seminary, and the two co-pastor Carlisle United Methodist Church in Nicholas Co., Ky. Their oldest daughter, Lauren, is a senior at Asbury University, and their youngest, Bethany, will be attending Asbury in the fall of 2011.
