Dr. Rocky Wallace
Rocky Wallace is a former administrator in Kentucky's P-12 system, and has served at the Kentucky Department of Education as a leadership consultant to school principals. While principal at Catlettsburg Elementary in Boyd County, the school was named a Kentucky and U.S. Blue Ribbon School (1996-97). Wallace has also served as the Director of Instructional Support at the Kentucky Educational Development Corporation (KEDC), and received his doctorate in strategic leadership from Regent University in 2007.
Rocky came to Asbury from Morehead State University, and coordinates Asbury's principal licensure program, while also teaching and designing graduate educational leadership courses and developing various projects with P-12 partners. Rocky has written a series of four books on school improvement and the effectiveness of the servant leadership model, and has also co-authored three other books on school culture. His wife, Denise, is a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary, and the two co-pastor Carlisle United Methodist Church in Nicholas Co., Ky. Their daughters, Lauren (husband Ely), and Bethany (husband Troy), are graduates of Asbury University.
