"For it is owing to their wonder that men both now begin and at first began to philosophize. They wondered originally at the obvious difficulties, then advanced little by little in stated difficulties about the greater matters."
~Aristotle, Metaphysics

The Philosophy program acquaints students with the history of philosophy, the world's great philosophers, and basic schools of thought. Our program pursues such classic questions in the field as: What does it take to have knowledge? What is truth? What is the source of value? What is reality? What is the source of political authority?
