9. Demonstrate an awareness of the needs of the poor and the impact of environmental systems on low-income individuals, families and communities; and use generalist social work intervention skills to address these needs and impacts

Demonstrate an understanding of micro, mezzo, and macro theories related to human growth and development; and develop analysis skills to identify both resources and obstacles that promote or hinder the optimal well-being of systems at various levels – individuals, groups, families and communities

11. Demonstrate an awareness of the historical context of social work practice, with a specific focus on the influence of the Judeo Christian heritage on the Western social welfare system

12. Demonstrate an ability to analyze policies in agency and/or church-based settings, and the government – local, state and national; and evaluate the impact of these policies on clients systems, social workers, agencies and communities

13. Demonstrate an ability to identify social injustice and actively work through agency and/or church-based settings to empower client systems towards change using a strength-based model of generalist practice

14. Demonstrate effective assessment skills as a generalist social worker, and the ability to evaluate functional and dysfunctional processes at all client system levels

15. Demonstrate effective intervention skills as a generalist social worker and work in change processes with client systems at all levels

16. Demonstrate an ability to use professional literature as a basis for ongoing learning as a social worker, and to conduct appropriate literature review as a basis for research processes within agency and/or church-based settings

17. Demonstrate knowledge of research processes and skills, including evidence-based practice, and effectively use these processes and skills in evaluating one’s own practice as a generalist social worker

18. Demonstrate generalist knowledge, values and skills in a supervised agency and/or church-based setting, with focus on all the foundation objectives; and effectively use supervision in order to connect classroom learning with practice in the field placement setting
