Each academic lab is updated annually with a current software image to enhance learning and support program objectives. Information Technology Services maintains frequent conversations with academic departments and faculty about their software related needs, and adjustments are made throughout the year to meet those needs.
The largest influence that faculty have on this annual software cycle, is the input that they give during the creation of the software list for the academic computer labs each Spring.
Additionally, labs are refreshed every two years with new computer hardware. During this process faculty are involved in determining what computer is best to purchase for the labs.
