Academic Partnership Verification Process

  1. When a student applies to any Asbury program, they will be asked whether they are affiliated with an academic partnership program.  Our current partnerships are listed, and applicants will check any that apply.
  2. Once an applicant identifies their connection to a partnership,  an email will be sent to the AU partnership point people who monitor the assignment of academic partnerships. Changes can be made to the student’s partnership affiliation if needed.
  3. Two days later, a verification form will automatically be emailed to the partnering organization.  The authorized contact for that partnership will confirm or deny the applicants eligibility to receive the Asbury Scholarship from based on the terms of AU’s MOA with the organization.
  4. The authorized contact person’s signature and reply will be recorded in SLATE and that information will be added to the new applicants report that is sent to Financial Aid.
  5. When the student is admitted, the name of our partnering organization will populate the AGENCY field in CampusVue.
  6. The scholarship amount will be calculated and visible to the student only AFTER the add/drop period of the semester enrolled, as most partner scholarships are based on a percentage of the students tuition each semester.
  7. This verification process will occur any time a student enrolls or re-enrolls in an Asbury program.  The Financial Aid will continue to apply partnership scholarships to eligible student automatically each semester, unless informed of a change in the students employment status.  If a student is no longer employed or affiliated with the organization providing the scholarship, a partnership manager will update the AGENCY field in CampusVue.
