Rosanna Willhite previously worked as the Coordinator, Special Programs at the University of Kentucky. Throughout her career in higher education as both a student and professional, Rosanna has worked with students and faculty to aid in transitions to higher education academics and lifestyle from various backgrounds and cultures.
Rosanna holds a B.A. in English literature and Spanish language from Berea College and a M.A. in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Kentucky. During her work as a graduate student, Rosanna served as Interim Dean and instructor at Concordia Language Villages in their English language village camp, which prepares international students to acclimate to higher education in the United States by offering intensive English as a Second Language classes for college credit and daily cultural orientation for 4-8 weeks. It was also during her Master’s work at the University of Kentucky that Rosanna worked as the assistant coordinator for the GoTeacher Ecuador Program, a program that sends teachers from Ecuador to the United States to take Master’s courses to better their pedagogical skills and English language skills in order for teachers to teach better English in K-12 in order to move higher education into English in Ecuador. Upon her graduation she became the coordinator for the program and an instructor.
These experiences and education along with her own experience as a foreigner and student in higher education in various cultures and institutions has made Rosanna passionate about working with students to aid them in every day practical challenges so they can meet with confidence, boldness, and intelligence deep matters of thought, culture, and faith in order to serve Christ across borders and through intellect in higher education.
