Intercultural Leadership Opportunities

Allelon Student Leadership Council Representatives 
Twelve to fifteen students are selected to serve one-year renewable terms to assist the Office of Intercultural Programs in offering cultural programs.  The leadership council members develop, plan, implement, and evaluate a variety of educational and cultural activities and events for the campus community, such as cultural festivals, culture specific movie nights, ethnic church worship opportunities, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and diversity dialogue forums on topics of particular interest to students.

 

Intercultural New Student Orientation (INSO) Leaders
One or two upperclass students with above average academic standing are selected to assist with the preparation and implementation of Intercultural New Student Orientation as well as assist a small group of first-time international and third-culture students throughout INSO, which occurs prior to the start of the fall semester.

 

Executive Leadership Team Officers
Students who demonstrate strong leadership skills and meet the specific requirements for an executive officer position as stated in the constitution of the organization will be selected to serve on the Executive Leadership Team for providing support and opportunities for social interaction of student members for each of the following organizations: Alpha Sigma Alpha (Asian-American Student Alliance), Beta Sigma Alpha (Black-American Student Alliance), Iota Sigma Alpha (International Student Alliance), Lambda Sigma Alpha (Latina/o-American Student Alliance), and Mu Kappa (Third-Culture Student Alliance).

 

Emerging Leader Program Facilitators
Two students with above average academic standing are selected to assist with the preparation and implementation of Emerging Leader Scholar Program events and activities.
