Leadership Opportunities for Students - Music Department
Concert Band - A touring ensemble that elects officers each year to help manage the operation of the group. Performs a wide variety of music in several concerts each semester. Contact: Professor Glen Flanigan, Director, ext. 2308
Asbury Chorale - Selected by audition and open to all students. Section Leaders are appointed by the director. Contact: Dr. Vicki Bell, Director, ext. 2245
Handbell Choir - Membership of this 6-octave handbell choir is selected by audition and open to all students. Officers are selected from within the group's membership. Contact: Dr. Mark Schell, Director, ext. 2247
Jazz Ensemble - Performs at campus concerts and tours with the concert band. A chaplain and other student leaders are selected from within its membership. Contact: Professor Glen Flanigan, Director, ext. 2308
Men's Glee Club - Composed of thirty to forty male students, the Men's Glee Club is the longest-standing choral ensemble at Asbury University. Officers are also selected from within the group's membership. Contact: Dr. Mark Schell, Director, ext. 2247
Women's Choir - The Asbury University Women's Choir is open to all women on campus. The group performs in concerts both on and off campus, and holds elections for officers. Contact: Dr. Beatrice Holz, Director, ext. 2252
