Aldersgate Commons
Welcome to the Aldersgate Commons homepage! My name is Kristin Paulus, and I'm the Resident Director (RD) of the six houses that make up Aldersgate Commons, along with a women's suite-style hall called Sarah Johnson, and the Spanish and Kenyon houses. Aldersgate is different than traditional halls; it is unique in that it provides upperclassman residents the opportunity to live in an apartment setting, to build community on a deeper level, to give of oneself in service, and to intentionally grow in leadership. Sarah Johnson offers 24 women the same opportunity on a corridor hall with suite-style rooms.
My daughter Delaney and I are from the West (mainly California and Arizona). I graduated with my B.A. in Biblical Studies from Biola University in 1999, and then from Arizona State University in 2009 with my master's degree in Higher Education. I am obsessed with watching sports (mainly because I am too old to be obsessed with playing them), so if you can't find me in my office in Davis, then check the soccer fields, basketball court, or softball bleachers.
Serving as the RD of Aldersgate is by far the best job anyone could ever have - I get to invest in the lives of 160 of the best upperclassmen east of the Rocky Mountains. If you are ever in the Aldersgate area, please stop by Davis to visit, particularly if you are a Premier League or NFL fan - my house is always open for football parties!
