Crisis Counseling
Emergency counseling is available by calling the Center at ext. 2323 or stopping by the office on the 2nd floor of Fletcher-Early. Let the receptionist know it is an emergency so you can be seen more immediately. After hours, call the switchboard (ext. 0) and ask to speak to the on-call counselor. The operator will take your name and number and the counselor will call you back as soon as possible.
Counselors provide crisis counseling in the event of a disturbing event affecting the campus community. Upon request, counselors, residence life staff, and other Student Development staff will provide immediate additional support to students receiving distressing news from home. Parents are encouraged to call the Associate Dean of Residence Life (ext. 2115) or the Residence Hall Director (RD) with these requests.
