Description/Responsibilities:
Job will cover the following responsibilities:
- accompany Music on piano or keyboard during Sunday Morning & Evening Worship Services
- be available during choir practices (Sundays at 8:45am warmup & 4:30pm-5:30pm) to assist in parts and technical prep
- assist Music Director in formation and development of any instrument ensembles (optional)
- we would also like to form a more robust band / orchestra, as we are currently using cd tracks for worship primarily.
Position pays $100.00 per week ($5,200.00 per year)
Bonuses are also given seasonally as leadership approves.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- ability to site read
- ability to transpose
- foundational knowledge of standard hymns and contemporary worship (Hillsong, Chris Tomlin, etc.)
- patience to work with vocalists / choir
- patience to work with those less experienced (majority of instrumentalists in our church is high school age and ability).
- desire to lead the church to a place of worship and awe of Christ.
