Biblical Theology
-Able to research and teach curriculum rooted in Wesleyan theology
-embodies the importance of prayer and practices a growing, personal relationship with God
-Recognizes Scripture as God-breathed and authoritative
Ministry Experience
-Recognizes particular dynamics of working with staff, congregation, and committees
-Sees ministry as team-focused rather than individual-centered
Requirements/Qualifications:
Communication
-Provides regular and clear communication
-engaging and articulate speaker and teacher
Implementation
-High organizational skills, including timely follow-through and thorough work
-moves vision to action
-able to see events from start to finish and organize details surrounding them
-influential-able to bring people together on team to delegate, encourage and empower them
Life-Long Discipleship
-Formation of plan to help students be and make disciples
-Sees parents as partners in forming students
Relationship Building
-Meets regularly with students and is involved in their lives
-perceptive: understands needs of teenagers
-able to work with teens in crisis
-maintains regular office hours and is committed to evening and weekend responsibilities, along with extended periods away from home in summer
