ABOUT US KCTCS System Office provides leadership, support and service for the operations and management of the entire system including community and technical colleges throughout the state. KCTCS, which includes 16 colleges and 68 campus locations, is the largest provider of post-secondary education and workforce training in the Commonwealth. The system currently provides affordable higher education to more than 106,000 students. KCTCS has over 11,000 full and part-time employees. The open position, outlined below, is located in Versailles, Kentucky. POSITION DESCRIPTION To provide professional support in the analysis and implementation of compensation policies and programs. Positions with the KCTCS System Office are term-contract positions, with the expectancy of continuance based on performance. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES • Evaluates new positions and reclassification requests for System Office and colleges. Recommends title, band, FLSA status, and IPEDS code. • Assists System Office managers regarding the process for new or reclassified positions. • Provides analysis of salary equity checks for new hires, promotions, and reclassifications. • Sets up PeopleSoft job codes, position numbers, location codes, IPEDS codes, etc. • Processes System Office supplemental pay requests. • Assists with the annual increase process. • Researches and completes internal and external salary survey requests (CUPA, etc.). • Provides analysis and documentation for compensation related projects such as compensation and classification study. • Reviews and recommends system-wide compensation and classification plan policies and procedures.
Requirements/Qualifications: 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree (related field) plus two years of position-related compensation experience, or equivalent. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft software (Excel and Word). Excellent oral and written communication skills. PREFERRED COMPETENCIES • 4 years of position-related compensation experience • Prior human resources and HRMS experience • PeopleSoft HRMS KY law requires state and national pre-employment background checks as a condition of employment.
