Description/Responsibilities:The intern will be trained in and gain experience in online marketing by *using social media to drive traffic to company website (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, digg.com, delicious, Technorati, etc.) *implementing traffic strategies such as creating viral videos, article and press release marketing *optimizing content for traffic generation, including training in content curation and blog management *connecting with other entrepreneurs for joint venture partnerships. An understanding of how to drive traffic to a company website and maintain visibility through social media as well as the ability to manage/optimize website content will give the intern a greater chance of gaining the attention of any company with a solid online presence. Hours 120-160 per semester, possible opening for back-to-back semesters for more advanced training/experience.
Requirements/Qualifications:Prefer Junior/Senior, any major is fine as long as requirements are met-- experience with Windows Movie Maker, Powerpoint or other slideshow software-- basic experience with Photoshop or other graphic software helpful--basic experience editing and uploading videos-- creative and informational writing skills (provide samples of both writing)--ability to connect to the hearts of others through writing--blogging experience helpful, but not required-- some classes in marketing and /or PR helpful, but not required--ability to meet deadlines.
