Outdoor Recreation

Interested in taking your youth group Rock Climbing? Or going on a week long backpacking trip with a group of friends? Asbury University Adventure Programs offers a wide variety of professionally led Outdoor Recreation programs to the public:

  • Rock Climbing
  • Rappelling
  • Caving
  • Canoeing
  • Backpacking
  • Orienteering
  • Mini-adventures

Who? These programs can be customized for anyone. This includes camp programs, youth groups, families, groups of friends, work groups, or individuals.

Length? Programs can vary in length from single day trips to multi-day or week long trips. The program is customized completely to your needs, so you let us know how long you have and we will put a trip together for you!

Why go through us? Our professional and highly qualified staff can lead outdoor recreation trips anywhere. We can take care of every aspect of the program including planning, logistics, leading, as well as providing staff and equipment for all activities.

Our Rock Climbing and Rappelling trips will be led by our American Mountain Guides Association certified instructor. All of our staff have been through extensive training and have hundreds of hours of experience in the programs we offer. All staff have emergency care Certifications; either a Wilderness First Responder Certification or a CPR/AED and First Aid Certification from the American Red Cross.

Adventure Skills Instruction
Our program specializes in outdoor skills instruction, so we can not only help you plan and run your next outdoor adventure, but you will leave with a wealth of knowledge and experience for the future! In addition to teaching you valuable skills during your trip, we also offer one-on-one instruction in rock climbing, paddling, and other areas.

Industry Trainings
Do you work in the recreation industry and are in need of training? We offer trainings for camps, schools, low ropes courses, and adventure programs. These trainings include:

  • Low ropes challenge course training for camp staff
  • Games and recreation training for any camp or school staff
  • Trainings on experiential education in the classroom
  • Adventure programming consultations
  • American Red Cross trainings in Lifeguarding, Emergency Medical Response, Babysitting, CPR/AED and First Aid
