Winter Preview, Jan. 25-26

WILMORE, KY—Asbury College hosts a visit weekend for high school students Jan. 25-26.

Winter PreviewDuring “Winter Preview” high school juniors, seniors and their parents have the opportunity to experience life as an Asbury College student. Students attend classes with current students, meet with professors one-on-one, attend chapel, eat in the cafeteria and stay over night in the residence halls.

“It’s a lot of fun,” said Beth Michael ’07, an Asbury College Ambassador. “It’s a way to really see the heart and soul of the campus and to get a feel for what the community is really like.

“You get to interact with the students and talk about the social, spiritual and academic aspects of Asbury College and college life in general,” Michael said. “I think the College does a good job of turning what could be a scary or boring experience into a welcoming and fun experience.”

Events scheduled for Thursday evening include registration, fellowship, worship time and orientation. On Friday, students will attend classes, chapel and “Life at Asbury,” a time of learning about the different programs offered at the College.

Parents have the same opportunities and will also be able to meet with the financial aid director.

The Admissions Office at Asbury College will host one more official visit weekend this academic year: April 19-21 (Spring Preview).
