Women's Basketball comes up short against IUS
Down 29-19 at the half, the Eagles started the second half on fire, tying the game at 32 after a 13-3 run over the first 5:30 of the period. The run was fueled by good shooting and interior rebounding, drawing Asbury even and giving the Eagles hope. The effort to draw even would take something out of the Eagles as IU-Southeast would draw away in the game, holding Asbury to 2-of-9 shooting the rest of the way, securing the 62-52 win.
Guards Lindsey Wood and Sarah Yates led the way for the Eagles with 13 and 12 points respectively, while Wood also led the Eagles in rebounding with seven. The loss drops Asbury to 2-4 in conference, 10-8 overall. Their next opponent is Spalding University on Monday, January 29th at home. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
