Soccer teams vie for NCCAA Championships

Men's teamWILMORE, KY— The Asbury College men’s and women’s soccer teams are competing in the NCCAA Championships in Kissimmee, Fla., Nov. 16-20. Asbury College is one of eight schools in the double elimination tournament.

The men’s team enters the tournament with an 8-9-2 record, having won the Mid East region with a 4-0 victory over Oakland City (Ind.) last week. The men are the 7th seed in the tournament and will play MidAmerican Nazarene University from Olathe, Kan., in the first round Nov. 17 at 2 p.m.

Women's teamThe women’s team enters with a 14-5-1 record, securing the Mid East and KIAC championships. The women are the 6th seed and will play Mount Vernon Nazarene in the first round on Nov. 17 at 4:30 p.m. This is the women’s third consecutive trip to the tournament.

Results of the championship can be found on the NCCAA’s website and results will be updated on the Asbury College athletics website as the teams vie for their respective national championships.
