TC/P’s production of SHAKESPEARE IN HOLLYWOOD has been recommended to be performed at the KCACTF Region IV Festival in February 2007.

The Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF) is a national theater program involving 18,000 students from colleges and universities nationwide which has served as a catalyst in improving the quality of college theater in the United States. In January and February of each year, regional festivals showcase the finest of each region's entered productions and offer a variety of activities, including workshops, symposia, and regional-level award programs. Four to six of the best and most diverse regional festival productions to be showcased in the spring at the annual noncompetitive national festival at the Kennedy Center, all expenses paid.

Asbury College Theatre and Cinema Performance productions of The Cherry Orchard 2004, Rumors 2005 and Shakespeare In Hollywood 2006 have been recommended for the KCACTF Region IV Festival.

Three students, Clay Hassler, Taylor Darden and Betthany Waddell have been nominated for the KCACTF Irene Ryan award and will compete in February 2007.

The main focus of the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship Auditions is to celebrate the nation's finest student actors and the craft that enables them to create compelling and truthful characterizations. The Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship Auditions heightens the focus on craft in auditions by showcasing actors in two (2) two-person scenes and a monologue or song for candidates who advance to the final round of competition at the regional and national levels. The National winners are announced at the Tony Awards.
