Great Commission Congress Nov. 5-9
WILMORE, KY—Great Commission Congress comes to Hughes Auditorium Nov. 5-9.
WGM missionary Dr. Michael Johnson is this year’s speaker. Johnson helps train and sponsor visiting and local medical professionals and students in Nairobi, Kenya. He works in rural healthcare and urban slum clinics, providing healthcare to thousands of street children and orphans in Nairobi.
Johnson was born and raised in Chicago. While attending Lawrence University (Wis.), he felt the Lord’s call to do a special work in the world. He moved to Ann Arbor, Mich., to attend medical school at the University of Michigan. He began his overseas missionary work in 1984 and has been “held captive” by Africa ever since. His trips have taken him to Zaire, Tandala Hospital and Tenwek Hospital.
