Swimming and Diving splits with Centre and Union

Danville, KY - Asbury won 15 individual and team events, however the Eagles fell to Centre College but beat Union College to earn a split this weekend.  The team was highlighted by a record-setting performance in the men's 200 IM relay, in a time of 1:40.98.

First-place finishes included Matt Hood in the 100, 200, and 500 freestyle along with Brad Huster and Alex Losecamp in the 200 butterfly and 200 breaststroke respectively for the men. Four women placed first in their events: Lindsey Keyes in the 500 and 1000 freestyle, Kelsey Perrine in the 200 backstroke and 200 IM, Allison Hubach in the 50 and 100 freestyle, and Abigail Sterneman in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events. Ashley Poore took home first in the 1-meter diving event.

Centre took both events, men & women, 144-125 on the women's side, 157-115 against the men. The Eagles will next be in action this weekend as they travel to the University of the Cumberlands on Friday before returning home to face King (Tenn.) College on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
