Women win Cross Country conference meet, men third

Women's Cross Country at startAsbury traveled to Elizabethton, Tennessee on Saturday to compete in the NAIA Region XII meet which also served as the KIAC Championships. The Eagles took home the title in the women's competition while the men finished third. The women's finish was good enough for the fourth place amongst the NAIA Region XII schools, while the men earned ninth place.

Leading the way for the Asbury women were Carolyn Tegge and Lindsey Keveren. Tegge's time of 20:37.2 was good for third place amongst conference runners, 23rd overall in region. Keveren finished in 20:42.7, good for fourth place in conference, 24th overall in region.The men were led by Aaron Linard, whose time of 29:04.0 in the 8K event was good for fifth place in conference, 35th for regionals.

The team will next travel to Cedarville, Ohio for the NCCAA National meet on Saturday, November 10th.
