Picnic, Brunch, Receptions
CAMPUS PICNIC
On Friday, May 3, at 5:00 p.m., there will be a campus picnic in the semi-circle hosted by the Asbury University Alumni Association. This will be an informal time of fellowship with classmates, families, and friends, as well as members of the Alumni Board of Directors. Graduates will receive a complimentary graduate ticket, and additonal tickets may be ordered by Monday, April 29, from the Alumni Office (859-858-3511 x 2167). Tickets for family and guests may be purchased for $8.00 (adult) and $5.00 (child under 12). This picnic is being catered by Chick-fil-A featuring the Original Chicken Sandwich. The child’s meal will be chicken nuggets, so please keep that in mind when ordering. If your child would prefer a sandwich, then please order the adult meal. We do ask that you order picnic tickets in advance so we may plan for the correct number. Print the Picnic Ticket Order Form and mail it in, fax it to 859.858.3921, or email the form to the Alumni Office.
COMMENCEMENT BRUNCH
On Saturday morning, May 4, a Commencement Brunch honoring the graduates of 2013 will be served in Johnson Cafeteria from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Each graduate will receive a complimentary ticket plus two additional complimentary tickets for their guests. These can be picked up when cap and gowns are received from the Registrar's Office (859-858-3511 x 4365). Additional brunch tickets may be purchased for $12.50 at the door on that Saturday. Reservations are not required.
RECEPTIONS:
- Department Reception – On Friday evening, May 3, following the Baccalaureate service, there will be a reception in the Kinlaw Library for graduates and their guests. Each academic department will be represented to provide the opportunity to greet the faculty members who have worked most closely with graduates throughout their college years.
- Graduate Program Reception – On Saturday afternoon, May 4, immediately following Commencement, the Graduate Program Department will host a reception for M.A./M.S.W. graduates and their guests in the multi-purpose room of the Luce Center.
- APS Department Reception – On Saturday afternoon, May 4, immediately following Commencement, there will be a reception for the APS graduates in the multi-purpose room of the Luce Center. This reception will allow graduates and their families to greet faculty members and classmates.
