What I do

I am the Instructional Services Librarian for Kinlaw Library. I work primarily with undergraduate students both in their classes and one-on-one in the library to improve their information literacy (including research, evaluation, and critical thinking skills). Collaborating with faculty to make sure our students are getting the necessary instruction and practice with 21st century learning skills is so rewarding when I see student success. In addition to working with students, I also work on developing and using assessment tools to measure effective instruction and student information literacy skills.

Research interests

Information literacy assessment; course design; teaching methods

What I'm reading

The Man Who Was Thursday                            The Invention of Wings

The Man Who Was Thursday             The Invention of Wings

         G. K. Chesterton                                   Sue Monk Kidd

Just for fun

When I'm not reading or hanging around Kinlaw Library, I love to play sand volleyball, swim, garden, and play games (of both the board and video variety).
