What We Do

In keeping with our mission, the staff of the Asbury University Archives works to collect, evaluate, organize, describe, preserve, and provide access to materials in all sorts of mediums that are of unique value to the University community. (A more detailed listing and descriptions of our collections can be found here.)  While none of the archival materials are available for circulation, most items are available for in-house viewing for academic research, genealogical investigation, or a simple stroll down memory lane.

The Archives staff is privileged to preserve a record of the many ways in which God has touched the lives of Asburians, and we seek to promote an awareness of that record among Asbury's community and constituents. We maintain several displays around the Kinlaw Library that showcase materials of importance to Asbury University and her history and traditions.  We also publish articles of historical and/or traditional significance here on the Archives website.
