Orlando Campus Support
Located at 8401 Valencia College Lane, Orlando, the building is a 38,000 square-foot, two-story facility, with 300 lighted parking places. The campus is accessible from two major transportation arteries: 408 (East-West Expressway) and 417 (Greene Way). It is located about 15 minutes from Orlando International Airport.
In addition to its geographic location, the campus is also situated in a missional area. At least six multi-racial, multi-cultural congregations are located within two miles of the campus — to say nothing of a number of Anglo churches. The campus is also near Valencia Community College and the University of Central Florida.
The physical plant consists of the following learning and administrative resources and spaces:
- 8 classrooms, which include one distance-learning (DLR) classroom - all are equipped with full access technological resources including video projectors
- 17 faculty offices
- 1 board room for meetings
- 1 library with over 60,000 volumes plus periodicals
- The building is equipped with two separate student study rooms
- 1 student lounge for meals and fellowship
- 1 large "Florida room" for use as a fellowship/study area
- 3 video conference rooms with direct connection with the Kentucky campus
- 12 administrative offices plus a large administrative work area
- Wireless and wired Internet access throughout the building
- An Avaya digital telephone switch in Orlando and a Nortel digital telephone switch at the college in Wilmore. These two phone switches will be connected via a T1 multi-trunk line to enable calls to be transferred seamlessly between the two campuses.
