BSW SOCIAL WORK FACULTY

POSITION: Full-time, tenure-track BSW Faculty position beginning August 2014. Position includes teaching primarily in BSW program (may include some MSW teaching as well). Both the BSW and MSW are CSWE-accredited programs and located within the Department of Behavioral Sciences.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Requirements: PhD in social work or related field strongly preferred but MSWs with a minimum of 2 years post-MSW practice experience may apply. Additional selection criteria include teaching experience, passion for social work education, desire to integrate Christian faith and social work, and proficiency in online course delivery.

INSTITUTIONAL COMMITMENT:  Candidates must give evidence of an evangelical Christian commitment, and be in harmony with the Institution’s Statement of Faith and Mission. ACADEMIC RANK:  Assistant/Associate Professor, depending on qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES:  This position likely includes some administrative responsibility, such as Field Director. Additional duties include prepping and teaching BSW courses, student advising, committee assignments, engagement in scholarly and professional activities, and modeling of Christian discipleship.

COMPENSATION:  Compensation is competitive and dependent upon education and experience. Benefits include retirement (TIAA/CREF) and insurance plans.
