(2) Business Faculty
POSITIONS: Two (2) full-time, tenure-track positions beginning August 2013.
QUALIFICATIONS: PhD or DBA required. A doctorate in a related business field with the ability to teach in two or more areas such as accounting, finance, economics, management, and marketing. Additionally, a focus on any of the following fields will be beneficial: International business and entrepreneurship. Experience in online teaching and at the master’s level is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess both strong academic credentials and professional experience outside of higher education. Effective teaching skills are essential. Seeking a dedicated individual who can help build the department and expand program opportunities. Members of diverse cultures are welcome at Asbury University.

ACADEMIC RANK: Assistant/Associate Professor, depending on qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach courses both in the classroom and online in the traditional undergraduate program, as well as in the MBA program and the adult degree completion program in business. General faculty responsibilities include advising students and department and committee assignments.
COMPENSATION: Compensation is competitive and dependent upon education and experience. Benefits include retirement (TIAA/CREF) and insurance plans.
BUSINESS, ECONOMICS & POLITICAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT: Asbury University’s Department of Business, Economics, and Political Science currently has traditional undergraduate majors in business, accounting, and political science, and minors in these areas as well as economics. The Department also has an adult degree completion program in business, and is planning to begin offering an online MBA program later in 2013, pending relevant approvals. The Department is seeking to add well-qualified faculty to support all of its business programs, and to be part of an exciting growth area for the University.
