Asbury Brings 'We Won't Be Shaken' Tour to Campus
WILMORE, Ky. — Asbury University is pleased to host some of contemporary Christian music’s most popular artists in concert on March 6 in the historic Hughes Auditorium on the Asbury campus. The event at Asbury, in partnership and sponsored by Chick-fil-A, will begin at 7 p.m. (doors will open at 6:30 p.m.)
The “We Won’t Be Shaken” tour — which includes Building 429, Family Force 5 and Hawk Nelson, with special guest Satellites & Sirens — will make a special stop for Asbury University in the midst of a high-energy, three-month tour ranging from Alabama to Minnesota.
Roderick Long, a Chick-fil-A franchise operator in Lexington, Ky., lives just a few miles from Asbury’s campus in Wilmore and knew from experience that Asbury University in general, and Hughes Auditorium in particular, would be a good site for the concert.
“I’m a fan of the bands playing and of the millennial generation, so the opportunities to tie those two together is great,” Long said. “Asbury has an active student body government that is supporting it, and we’ve enjoyed the partnership.”
Tickets for the general public are $20 in advance and are on sale at iTickets.com, all Lexington Chick-fil-A restaurants and the Student Development office on Asbury’s campus. Limited discounted tickets ($10) are available to Asbury students, faculty and staff at the Student Development office.
