Asbury Hosts Benefit Golf Tournament

Golf enthusiasts have a unique opportunity to enjoy a day on the links while also supporting a program that expands horizons for Asbury University students at the AU Golf Classic on June 10.

The Asbury University Athletics Department is hosting the tournament at Champion Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Ky., with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. To register for the event in teams of four ($600) or as an individual ($150), click here. All funds raised benefit the athletics department’s general fund and help provide uniforms, equipment and travel opportunities to Asbury’s student-athletes.

“We are excited to offer this opportunity to the community to begin involvement in our growing department,” Perdue said. “The main goal is to build relationships with people in our community and to share the vision we have for athletics at Asbury University.”

Asbury student-athletes will be on hand to handle equipment, meet and play golf with participants. After the competition, a dinner will feature prizes and the chance meet coaches and learn more about the vision of the program.
