Dr. Gray receives Chamber of Commerce “President’s Award”

WILMORE, KY—Dr. Sandra Gray, Asbury College president, received the “President’s Award” from the Jessamine County Chamber of Commerce at the annual awards banquet.

Each year the president of the Jessamine County Chamber of Commerce has the opportunity to give the “President’s Award” to member of the community who has made a significant impact on Jessamine County.

Cyrus Hutcherson, president of the Chamber of Commerce and vice president of the Orchard Branch of National City Bank, presented the award to Dr. Gray for her contributions to the community. He noted that since Dr. Gray began her presidency in 2007, she has been heavily involved in the community and has made tremendous strides toward making Asbury College more visible in the Jessamine County area and beyond.

On a more personal level, Hutcherson is a 1996 graduate of Asbury College and had Dr. Gray as a professor during his academic career. Hutcherson credited Dr. Gray for encouraging him to pursue a banking career.
