By Heidi Heater
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. in Doddridge-Holland Theatre on Asbury College's campus. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the Kinlaw Library circulation desk. If sold out, tickets will be available at the door each evening before performances.
Based on the fairy tale by the Grimm brothers, Hansel and Gretel wander into the forest, only to be lured into the gingerbread house of a wicked witch. Birds eat the trail of breadcrumbs the children left to find their way home, trapping the children with the witch who wishes to fatten Hansel and bake him into a gingerbread treat.
