College adds online summer classes
WILMORE, KY—Thinking about summer school? You can now take classes from your home, your summer job or even from the beach.
Asbury College is offering online summer courses in conjunction with the Consortium of Online Christian Colleges. These classes are interactive and can be taken anywhere students have internet access. The online undergraduate term runs May 10-July 12.
Taking summer classes will also be more affordable this year. The cost has been reduced from $556 per credit hour to $335 per credit, a nearly 40 percent decrease. This price will apply to both the online program as well as classes taught at the Wilmore campus. The Asbury College on campus term, with the exception of a few classes, will be in one summer school session, May 21-June 15.
“We have already had students register for online courses and we expect that number to climb,” said Dr. Timothy Thomas, associate academic dean. “I am pleased that we are able to offer an increased number of opportunities at a reduced price.”
