‘Full Circle’ Reunion 2006
WILMORE, KY—More than 800 Asbury College alumni are expected to return to town June 21-25 to celebrate ‘Full Circle’ Reunion 2006. This year we welcome the classes of 1936-2001 in five-year increments, as well as our Golden Grads (those who have already celebrated their 50th reunions). We will also host special reunions for choral, theatre and handbell alumni.
This year Dr. Paul Rader and the Eagle class of 1956 will celebrate their 50th reunion. Drs. Paul ’56 and Kay Fuller ’57 Rader will also retire from the College’s presidency after six years of service. This will be their second retirement, the first from leadership in The Salvation Army.
Each class will have a luncheon and special fellowship activities for the weekend. There are also activities and seminars planned for everyone, families and children of all ages.
The reunion classes will once again raise support for the Reunion Gift. This year, funds will go toward two projects. The first part will complete the three-year project to re-curve the south end of the semi-circle, add handicap drop-off spaces in front of Hughes and transform Jewell Street along the side of Hughes into a walking plaza. The second part will ensure the completion of the concert staging area behind Reasoner. In addition, the Class of 1956 will continue fundraising for the Kenyon Scholarship.
