Social Work Practicum Agencies
In order to insure that all social work students learn the most in their two practical experiences, we must place students at primary or secondary social work agencies that meet strict guidelines in harmony with our philosophy of social work education and Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) requirements. This means that approved agencies are committed to a quality educational experience for all Asbury College social work students. The following agencies have supervisors with either a bachelor's or master's in social work who will provide quality time to supervise practicum students. Asbury College social work faculty will provide additional supervision if the agency supervisor does not have a master's in social work.
Students arrange practicums by contacting one of the following agencies.
1. Tell them you are interested in doing your practicum with them.
2. Arrange for an interview to discuss your interests and goals.
3. Find out if one of their supervisors with proper educational qualifications is willing to spend at least one hour each week with you in supervision.
4. Arrange a work schedule with your supervisor
5. Submit an application from this website to Dr. Ike Adams, Director of Field Instruction.
