Health Science
Students majoring in Health Science take a prescribed course of study for three years and then transfer to a school of nursing of their choice. Professional nursing credits taken at a school of nursing transfer back to complete the Health Science degree from Asbury College. Nursing education involves the study of the direct care, support, and monitoring of the sick, injured, handicapped, or elderly. Learning the day-to-day skills and practices involved in quality patient care is the primary focus. Nursing also involves learning about human anatomical and physiological processes, human growth, development, and behavior.
