Biochemistry
Biochemistry is the study of the molecules and reactions involved in cells and organisms, such as DNA and enzymes. The first two years, a biochemistry major takes the same courses as a traditional chemistry major; the majors differ significantly in the junior and senior years. Biochemistry is a popular and growing area. There have been major developments in the last ten years, and many applications are appearing in the medical arena.
