When I was a student at Asbury I developed a passion for missions. Since then, I have been blessed with two opportunities to travel abroad and spend time in Kenya. The lessons I learned from the Kenyan people are powerful and will always be with me. I hope to continue participating in short term missions in the years to come.

Professional Interests
My work thus far has focused on normal mammary gland biology. Our knowledge of normal development is central to our understanding of disease. This research has provided a basis for ongoing studies related to breast cancer.
I hope to continue working in collaboration with scientists on other campuses who are interested in this topic.

Other Interests
I enjoy spending time with friends, family and my dogs. I also enjoy spending time surrounded by the beauty of God’s creation. That can be in the form of solitary time at a nature preserve or with friends hiking in the state and national parks. For me, it also includes spending time in my garden, where I love to grow tomatoes, peppers, zucchini and herbs.
