The Math Hymn
The math hymn was first sung at the Faculty "talent" show during the spring of 2005. It is sung to the tune of" Pass It On" (by Kurt Kaiser), the first line of which is, "It only takes a spark to get a fire going".

"It only takes some chalk to get a lecture going"

"and soon I'm warm inside, 'cause it's Calculus I'm knowing."

"I'm learning how to integrate; just antidifferentiate."

"Woe is me; forgot ‘plus C’; I’ve got to pass this class."

"My friends don't understand the double dot salute."

"They think I’ve lost my mind like that big pink-shirt galoot."

"My social life has gone to trash;"

"I think I saw John Nash."

"Please help me see how to get past Lee; I’ve got to pass this class."

"I wish you’d learn my friend what this major’s all about."

"Like a cult, it’s easy in"

"But you’re never really out."

"With Rietz, Roller,"

"Harrington,"

"Papa Bear, and Dyno-Duk encouraging me,"

"I now can see I’m going to pass this class!"
