REIN: Relationship Education Intervention Network
REIN was created to reach out to children who have been abused. The desire is to help build healthy and meaningful relationships between the children, horses and instructors.
Starting with the basics of grooming and leading, the horse and child grow in their abilities and acceptance through various activities. They progress through obstacle courses, trail walks and eventually riding.
REIN is available to each child for as long as he or she needs it. The only requirement is that they want to be there and be a part of the program. This technique of using horses has been shown to restore trust and relationships, as well as instill confidence, friendships and communication skills.
