Family and Personal Interests

God and my family are of the utmost importance. I have two teenage daughters Rachel 16 and Sarah 13. Both of my girls are very talented. Rachel loves computers and drawing. Sarah likes to sing and draw. Two golden retrievers and a hamster round out the family.

My family and I attend the Wilmore Free Methodist Church.

Working at Asbury

Working at Asbury is a great personal honor and part of my heritage. Asbury College has always meant a lot to my family. My great-great-grandfather, believing in education and “Holiness,” donated the original tract of land to start the college.

My grandmother, Era Peniston, taught at Asbury for 40 years and was the Music Department Chair for 20 years. She loved teaching at the college and teaching future church musicians.

I hope that by my working in the Education Department I am helping further God’s Great Commission of Mathew 28:18-19 for teachers to go out into the world and teach students both knowledge and Christ’s love.
