Leadership is an emerging communications field of study that has broad applications in both profit and non-profit organizations. This emphasis area ensures students realize their own leadership gifts and styles and allows them to better understand the current leadership environment. Students may select this emphasis area to better understand themselves and our society or to prepare for leadership as part of their vocation. Careers that especially benefit from this emphasis area include politics, non-profit or religious leadership in church or para-church organizations, military or any number of business applications that involve collaboration and systemic communication organization.
