Academic Computer Labs

Asbury College has four general-purpose computer labs that are made available to all students, though most elect to have their own computer.

Students are provided free access to a wide variety of software in the computer labs including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Access, Internet, email, and any class-required software.

Lab computers are running either Mac OS or Microsoft Windows and all are equipped with CD burners.

Both color and black/white printers are available as well as scanners. At this time, there is no charge for printing class related work.
Data Network

Asbury College has a campus-wide data network in all classrooms, offices and dorm rooms.

Both the Kinlaw Library and the Grille have a wireless network.

Internet access is available from all network ports on campus.

Asbury employs a web filtering system to restrict access to inappropriate content on the Internet.

Every student is given server space to store their files on the campus network.

Each student must take the Information Services' Network Orientation class.
Cable TV

Asbury College has installed a Cable TV outlet in every classroom, office, dorm lobby and dorm room.

Students must provide their own TV and coax cable.

The cable TV system includes 4 local channels, 31 Dish Network channels, and a variety of campus channels.
Telephone System

Asbury College provides telephone service for all students living in the residence halls.

One telephone extension is provided in each dorm room. Students must bring their own phone to be used in their room (one phone per room).

One voice mailbox is provided for each dorm room.

Local calls are free. Long distance calling cards are available at the College bookstore and local retailers.
EagleID Cards

The Information Services Help Desk issues ID cards that are referred to as your EagleID.

EagleID cards are utilized for several campus functions including dorm access, the meal plan, Luce Center access, and library privileges.

If an EagleID card is reported lost then it is disabled to prevent unauthorized use. A $10 fee will be charged to replace the card.
Multi-media Equipment

Asbury College has a wide variety of classroom equipment to enhance the teaching and learning environment.

Student government, class, and outside organizations are encouraged to make reservations for any equipment needs for Asbury events.

Students who wish to purchase copies of video or audio tapes of special Asbury events may place their orders in the Learning Resources office. Chapel, Fall Revival, Holiness Conference, Missions Conference, and the Staley Lecture Series are tapes frequently requested by students.
