Asburians at Ichthus
The Ichthus Music Festival wouldn’t be the same without Asbury College students and alumni.
Have you ever wanted to be on stage with Switchfoot? Asbury College students get to do just that! Media communications majors run the cameras during performances, providing the professional quality video projected on the screens and used in promotional materials.
Wouldn’t it be fun to hang out backstage and tell tobyMac when he could go on stage? Many of our students and alumni work behind the scenes to help with technical equipment and logistics.
Ever wanted to run a promotion or a contest at Ichthus? Asbury College does! Every year students and alumni help run Asbury College’s official tent, passing out tees and providing information about the College. They even help judge our “Be the One” contest searching for the singer who will perform with the Ascenxion Band and Phil Keaggy Saturday night. (Don’t forget to stop by the Asbury College tent for your audition and free tee!)
I bet there’s even a few of you who have always dreamed of dressing up as a mascot. Ok, so maybe you would never own up to it, but we know you have always wanted to wear a cow suit. A few of our alumni and students endure the heat to dress up as Chick-fil-a cows for alumnus Jeff Stryker ’87, whose restaurant provides thousands of meals for festival-goers each year.
Without this dedicated group of individuals, many of whom volunteer their time, the music wouldn’t go on. Don’t you want to join them? Visit our admissions site to find out how to visit campus and apply to the College.
