Help Desk Technician in Administrative Support

Full-time hourly position available immediately. The working hours will be an alternative shift, requiring evenings, and some weekends. Technician will maintain campus computing and learning resources equipment including: identifying problems arising in routine activities and present possible solutions to the Help Desk Manager; assisting campus computing technology users with issues impeding job functions; educating users in best practices when the opportunity arises; implementing technology projects under the supervision of the Helpdesk Manager; and assisting in training other Helpdesk staff including student workers. This position will provide customer service to faculty, staff and students in areas of computing technology, bench repair, phone support, office and dorm visits. Other duties or projects as assigned. May be required to lift 25-50 pounds or assist in moving heavy equipment. One year of experience in a computer repair facility and experience with Windows and Apple systems, printers and networking is necessary. Customer Service experience is desired.
