Practicum Counselor Weekly Schedule

Practicum counselors complete ten (10) on-site hours per week at the Center for Counseling.  These hours include:

• Three (3) hours for individual counseling or other counseling services
• Two (2) hours for intake interviews for new clients
• One (1) hour of one-to-one supervision
• One (1) hour of group supervision and staffing (Fridays at 2 pm)
• One (1) hour of professional training in counseling and psychology (Fridays at 3 pm)
• One (1) or two (2) hours for administrative purposes (i.e., paperwork, treatment planning, supervision, preparation, etc.)
• Occasionally one (1) hour of professional training in career counseling (possibly Fridays at 1 pm)
