Home for the HOLIDAZE? ...
FUTURE...
As the holidays come to a close, feelings of disappointment and unhappiness may set in. A review of the past year's events may prove painful. These feelings, if not resolved quickly, can lead to a shift from ‘the blues' to depression. Concerning symptoms include:
- Persistent sad, anxious, or empty mood
- Sleeping too much or too little, middle-of-the-night or early morning waking
- Reduced appetite and weight loss or increased appetite and weight gain
- Irritability or restlessness
- Fatigue or loss of energy
- Difficulty thinking, concentrating, remembering or making decisions
- Feeing inappropriate guilt, hopelessness or worthlessness
If this persists over a period of several weeks, seek professional help when you return to campus at the Center for Counseling.
