FOOD . . .

  • Focus on feeling good, rather than on looking good
  • Call a friend, or someone you are comfortable talking to; talk your feelings out, instead of using food to cope
  • Avoid trying to make drastic changes in your eating habits over the holidays
  • Take care of yourself! Try not to get caught up in the anxiety and tension around you . . . plan activities to "de-stress" yourself
  • Remember that coping is a process, not an event - be patient with yourself!
